Who we work with

The problem

You’re putting in the reps: blog posts, emails, social updates. The machine is running. The calendar’s full. But reach doesn’t always equal recall:

  • Blog posts go live, but never ladder up to anything bigger
  • Social content gets likes, but doesn’t build a clear narrative
  • There’s nothing in your funnel that sparks conversation or captures demand
  • The effort is there—but the payoff isn’t compounding

The solution

You don’t need more content; you need the right content to lead with. A unifying narrative—anchored in data, insight, or a sharp point of view—that your whole team can rally around.

We help B2B startups create cornerstone assets that do it all: lead magnet, sales tool, nurture fuel, and brand firepower.

After

Lots of content—but no clear message
One flagship asset that locks in your message
Some traffic—but no conversions
A downloadable built to capture leads and build authority
Posts everywhere—but no real takeaway
Unified messaging across blog, social, email, and sales
You’re visible—but forgettable
A campaign your audience talks about… and shares

I’m Lauren Shufran, a content strategist and writer for high-growth startups. Before going solo, I led content at scaling SaaS companies—building engines from scratch, partnering closely with founders, and creating stories that drive both brand and pipeline.

Now I work with a small group of ambitious clients each quarter, including fast-moving startups, emerging tech companies, and the VCs who back them.

(I’ve also got a PhD in Shakespeare, which comes in handy when you need to turn “To B2B or not to B2B?” into content that converts, resonates… and lasts beyond Act I.)

In others’ words

“I’ve worked with Lauren at two different companies, and I’d work with them again in a heartbeat. Their work is sharp, strategic, and deeply aligned with what the business needs—especially for early-stage teams still shaping their voice, positioning, and product story. Just as importantly, Lauren has a knack for uncovering the stories hiding in your product and data—stories that drive real differentiation. The reports they built for both Rattle and Gem helped us lead in fast-moving spaces. I trust them with the content that matters most.”

Sara Kinsey

VP of Commercial Strategy

@ Rattle

“As an early-stage founder, I don’t have bandwidth for all the writing we need. I reached out to Lauren about building marketing content from the ground up. I knew I needed someone who could roll up their sleeves, learn an industry, interview customers, and develop strong content. Lauren’s been a great partner for our growing team.”

Zachary Kimball

Co-founder & CEO

@ Hardfin

“Lauren was an instrumental part of our content success this year. Their keen ability to tell a story with data helped make our recent benchmarking report the best-performing asset in Gem’s history.”

Ani Sapru

Head of Product Marketing,
Content, & Website

@ Gem

“What sets Lauren apart is their ability to distill real-world insight into content that speaks directly to our audience. Their drafts feel final, and their case studies are some of our strongest enablement tools. We’re lucky to have them on board as we move into whitepapers and other cornerstone content—we trust them to help shape what comes next.”

Darri Atlason

Head of Growth

@ Harmonic

“As our content needs grew, Lauren quickly helped us level up. They brought strong ideas to the table, worked with us to prioritize them, and took the lead on execution. Collaborating has been smooth and productive—Lauren is thoughtful, efficient, and brings a strategic mindset to the work.”

John Melas-Kyriazi

Co-founder & CEO

@ Standard Metrics

“We had a bold idea and needed more than a writer. Lauren brought structure, clarity, and sharp thinking to a complex project. They helped us turn a loose narrative into real thought leadership and made sure it actually landed. The final asset didn’t just sound good—it also made people stop and think. That’s rare.”
